ex.- Aerospace engineers use avionics to design air vehicles.
4. bore- make (a hole) in something, esp. with a revolving tool.
ex.- Hand drills are made make bores.
5. gauge- an instrument or device for measuring the magnitude, amount, or contents of something, typically with a visual display of such information

ex.- Density of a substance is used to see how much mass is in a certain container.
7. deteriorate- become progressively worse
ex.- Cancer makes a person slowly deteriorate.
8. efficient- (esp. of a system or machine) achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense
ex.- Car motors only have a certain amount of efficiency marking their value.
9. eccentric- (of a person or their behavior) unconventional and slightly strange
ex.- When people take drugs they become very eccentric.
10. engine- a machine with moving parts that converts power into motion

12. drafting- prepare a preliminary version of (a text).
ex.- Architectural drafters design a structure on paper then use it as a guide
13. decibels- a unit used to measure the intensity of a sound or the power level of an electrical signal by comparing it with a given level on a logarithmic scale
ex.- Decibels are important when trying to find the right wavelength of a resonance.
14. negligible- so small or unimportant as to be not worth considering; insignificant.
ex.- when things are so small, exact amounts are negligible and are rounded to the tenth power.
15. medium- the middle quality or state between two extremes; a reasonable balance.
ex.- When waves are formed, they entered into mediums and refract or reflect.
16. modulus- another term for absolute value.
ex.- The modulus of velocity is speed.
17. surge- a sudden powerful forward or upward movement, esp. by a crowd or by a natural force such as the waves or tide
ex.- When electricity surges through your body, you feel an urge of shock
18. obsolete- no longer produced or used; out of date
